Aaron Kamat
President & CEO
Aaron Kamat is the President and CEO of Creekside Financial Advisors, where he advises individuals and families on the design and stewardship of their financial lives. With more than 20 years of experience in financial planning and advisory, Aaron brings a disciplined, relationship-driven approach to helping clients navigate complexity, preserve wealth, and plan with intention across generations.
Aaron's philosophy is grounded in a simple belief: sophisticated financial lives require thoughtful, personalized guidance. He works closely with clients to align investment strategy, tax considerations, estate planning, and long-term objectives into a cohesive plan — one that evolves as their lives, priorities, and opportunities change. His role is to simplify complexity, bring clarity to moments of decision, and serve as a trusted advisor through every stage of life.
Aaron began his career at leading firms including Wells Fargo Advisors and McDonald Partners before joining Creekside in 2014. He was drawn to the independent model for its ability to deliver personalized advice — and today leads the firm with a focus on discretion, enduring relationships, and an exceptional standard of client service.
He is a member of the LPL Summit Club, an elite recognition awarded annually to the top 225 financial advisors out of more than 32,000 LPL-affiliated advisors nationwide — a distinction reflecting his sustained commitment to meaningful outcomes for the families he serves.
A Cleveland native, Aaron is deeply committed to his community. He serves as an active member of the Board of Trustees at Laurel School, one of Northeast Ohio’s most distinguished independent schools, where he chairs the Investment Committee. In this role, Aaron applies his financial expertise to help guide the school’s long-term financial strategy and stewardship of institutional assets.
Aaron is also deeply involved with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, one of the largest hunger-relief organizations in the country.
Outside of his professional work, Aaron enjoys golf, skiing, travel, and time with his wife, Mara, and their two daughters.

Nan Cohen, CFP®, MBA
Founder
Nan Cohen is the founder of Creekside Financial Advisors.
Creekside Financial Advisors, LLC foundation began in early 1994, when Nan began a financial planning practice designed to treat each client as the only client, with respect and adherence to the fiduciary standard. From the onset, Nan was acutely aware that continuity of advice for the clients was critical and maintained a succession plan from her very first client.
Today, that plan has created an exciting and impactful transition for the firm's clients and prospective planners wishing to work in an environment that consistently asks: “if what we did was good; how do we make it great?”
Nan remains a consultant and mentor of the firm.
